Nerves of Steel Right Here
Ch-53 comes in for landing with a stuck front nose gear. In order to deploy the stuck gear, the pilot brings the helicopter to a hover a mere few feet above the deck while crews go under the chopper and help fix the problem!! Crazy stuff right there!!

Holy fucking shit!!! And what isn't mentioned in the description is that it looks like this is all happening on the deck of an air craft carrier!!!
Balls of Steel is a major understatement here!!

Not that this happens often but personally being apart of a crew myself, when i was active, we actually trained for this. The crew mechanic and flight engineers go over these scenarios quite often plus most of these guys including myself live and breathe our jobs so we know every square inch of these aircraft.

Holy hell.
Ch-53 drivers are a special breed.
Team Spirit '85, I had one driver use his tail rotor to 'weed whack' an LZ in order to make room for itselft, to do a 2 point landing, in order to pick me and my crew up off a mountain.
true story..
