when someone dies there is no reason to be unhappy, except it was an unexpected young death or a stupid accident (eg. saudi drifting/crossing a street in russia). when someone has lived their life and has gone people should respect it more, there are too many emotions included nowadys...

@penguin_in_the_desert I'm serious here: won't it be fun to actually talk to the deceased the same way we talk to "anyone else"? We communicate then we all go back to where we need to go. I think that would be awesome and also finally shut down those nutheads who keep on making untrue films about spirits and whatnot, spreading stupid ideas about ghosts, making fun of them. I am saving this to a file and adding it to my will. I now know how my funeral will go. Only difference will be me sitting up in my coffin with a little motor mounted on my back so my arms can repeatedly do the "raise the roof" movement. =)

well makes sense, celebrate the life of the person and send them off with a good farewell. Does not make any sense to sit there and sob and cry, you could fill a bathtub with tears and it ain't gonna bring that person back. A funeral is meant for a person last viewing and remembrance and celebrate good times, not to act like a jackass and cry like a maniac.
