    Laser guided bombs and bunker busters all aimed by drones would have destroyed Iwo quickly with minimal US casualties.

    • True, but if they had weapons like we do now the Japs would have been wiped out with much less American blood spilled when the infantry went in.
      As it was, most of the Japs were rooted out with blowtorch and corkscrew. (Flame thrower and high explosives)
