Ben Mankiewicz is a typical ignorant American. Yes, the Winter Olympics is smaller than the Summer Olympics. But it's much bigger in scope than the Super Bowl, which is kind of a big deal.

If there is one man who can comment on the Olympics its Mitt Romney, whether you agree or not thats another debate. The guy ran an Olympics that was absolutely doomed to be a failure and turned it around to be a huge success. Why is he not allowed to say what he thinks about what he sees going on since he ran them. I get that people were offended but give me a break it shouldnt be some huge blunder on something he sees. Americans arnt always popular in the rest of the world, because thay can come across as a bit arrogent, thats how Romney has been seen in the UK by making a couple of comments. If your a big pollitacal person, the worst thing you can do is pass a negative comment about the country you visiting, it makes you look like a bit of a dick and thats whats happened here.

@Blue3tar Actually listen to Romney's remarks. They were mild and he was only repeating stuff that had been screaming headlines in the UK.
He did become a lightning rod for criticism though. Instead of all the backbiting in the UK everyone turned on Romney and started defending the Olympics.
