Girl jumps off Skyride to avoid lightning
Melanie Rossomando was enjoying a nice afternoon in Seaside Heights, New
Jersey when a storm swept into the area. Rossomando and her friend were
on a skyride at the time, and that ride lost power because of the
storm. Instead of waiting for help to come, Rossomando was scared she
was going to get struck by lightning, so she jumped 35 feet onto the
ground. She said you can't tell from the video but there were lightning strikes close by and the storm was right on top of them.

@Meathead12 They were grossly negligent for not taking proper actions in getting them safely down, IF they knew there was a lightning storm coming, AND that said storm would present a threat/danger to her life.
