Video - Chinese crew with first woman aboard launches to new space station
China's Shenzhou-9 spacecraft, carrying the country's first ever female
astronaut along with her two male colleagues, has set off for the stars.
It blasted off earlier from the steppes of Gansu province in the north
west, to cheers from a crowd at a special seeing-off ceremony.
The
three astronauts will have to link up with Beijing's laboratory module,
that's been in orbit since last September. They will conduct scientific
tests and are expected to return home in around 10 days. Beijing hopes
to establish its own permanent station in orbit by the end of the
decade.

She flew all the way to space with the left turn signal on. Satellites were backed up for miles.

China sure is moving extraordinarily fast, I guess its easy to move forward by reverse engineering and just plain stealing everyone else's technology.

Taikonauts sounds more like some sort of twisted-testicle condition to me.

That was a damn good liftoff. Nice burns from the engines. Smooth as well judging from the litte external camera we can see.
Lot's of Russian tech in there.

Shenzhou is essentially Soyuz spacecraft, courtesy of traitors in Russia who sold our advanced space tech to China.

Any chance the Chinese could give us a better term on those loans, if we gave them the moon?

I am sure China is suspicious of the Pentagon's x37b unmanned spacecraft that spent 15 months in space... it doesn't take genius to realize that it could disable satellites and possibly drop bombs...
