Twins are one thing, but a Calgary mother now has four-of-a-kind to look after.
A Calgary, Alberta couple became the proud, if somewhat tired, parents of an extremely rare set of identical quadruplets at a Great Falls hospital in Montana.
Karen Jepp delivered the girls, Autumn, Brooke, Calissa and Dahlia on Sunday afternoon with her husband J.P. beside her.
Healthcare officials say all four babies are in good condition and are breathing without ventilators. The children were delivered by caesarian at 31 weeks.
Dahlia is the smallest of the bunch, weighing in at a mere two pounds six ounces. Autumn is the big sister at a whopping two pounds, 15 ounces.
Two of the babies will be moved Thursday to a hospital in Calgary, their doctor says the other two may be transferred on Friday.
The chances of giving birth to identical quads is one in 13 million.
