Swine Flu Outbreak In Southern US: Special Report

After hearing this morning about an area school closing due to a possible outbreak of Swine Flu, I put aside my normal work of making fun of Islamic Radicals and dove headfirst into a local story with Global Implications.

I spoke to Bob Dawkins, the Headmaster of Newberry Academy - a private school located halfway between Columbia and Greenville South Carolina - in the small town of Newberry, South Carolina.

Dawkins said that of 13 students who visited Cancun over Spring Break, 12 eventually fell ill, and others - even outside the school - who had not gone were infected by students from Newberry Academy. However, Dawkins said that even those students whose illness was confirmed to be Swine Flu have already recovered from what he called a, "Mild illness."

The school will remain closed through the weekend, and will reopen Monday morning.

    • While I'm no fan of the Mexican government and have always been critical of illegal immigration and any fool who supports it there ARE plenty of good people in Mexico and believe it or not there are some very educated, intelligent people in Mexico, unfortunately we don't see many of them, perhaps 20 years ago we did.

Criticize the corrupt, thieving government of Mexico, leave your average "Jose" out of it.

  • All I can say is anything is possible when you have half a world wanting you dead,.meaning the Radicals where ever they are,..and their are allot of them and growing,.especially with Obamma's plans dealing with Pakistan,.
I wouldn't put a purposely transmitted pandemic cast on Americans to lightly from these people,.
    they "have" threatened it,.
and are crazy enough to kill men women and children,
all in one big Illness,.it would be their dream to do this,.they long for something like t More..
