I think the saddest thing of all in the whole situation, is that, if he hadn't parked the car so far away from the pump, this could just be a close call and a scary moment, rather than being a tragic one...

Those thoughts usually haunt those who suffer these types of accidents. Had I used another pump, had I departed 1 minute earlier from home, had I taken another route, this would have not happened.
It happened because life is like that, there is nothing he could have done to prevent these horrible things.

@mcgus I'm sure this is nothing short of horrifying and tragic for the parents, especially if both the parents survived while looking at their children.
But then again, that was my point. Life is unfair and cruel when and how it wants to be. That's why I don't understand why so many people are afraid to live it to the fullest.
