I agree with you on the mountain lion issue. Why kill them if you can't eat them?
Those noisy-assed rafters sort of pissed me off. I'd find another spot to hang, Bro. Good to see you again.

@-sloop- It's probably one of the only things I appreciate about the state of California. They stood up and decided to protect a species that gets a bad rap.
There's been 14 fatal mountain lion attacks on human beings in the state of California since 1897. 14. Yet they live amongst us every single day. My views would change if this was an animal that posed a serious threat. As it is, they want nothing to do with us.

Damn good/funny commentary JR.
Looks like a great spot.
I dig the woods too ... always did. I moved into this house & rediscovered how much I dig them shits.
I don't fish tho ... but the option is wide ass open.
Good to see ye !

@Smudgen Thanks bro. It was a real nice spot but the fishing was tricky. Lots of brush I kept getting caught up in. Overall it was a nice day drinking beers and shooting the shit. Fishing is one of those activities for me where I don't even have to be catching anything, just to be out there taking in all of nature's beauty is really a great time.

I agree with you on "all forms of cougars" but then what about those that actually want to be "eaten?"
Nice one man--V'td

@piruly I think I see what you're getting at. There are definitely cougars out there who want to be eaten, and I'd say go for it as long as it's not old Mary Jane rotten crotch.

@BIGLOUBRUNO It was a fantastic day Big Lou. Had the lounge chair, the beers, some hippie lettuce. Solo mission so I had nobody out there to trade war stories with, thought what the hell, lets bust out a YS with the LL community.

Beautiful area. Got family in Placerville, Folsom & Orangevale and I love going up there.
Nice choice of brew too; almost always have that in the fridge. Love their Torpedo!

@RickBond Small world Rick. I've got family in a little town called Meadow Vista. There's also Auburn, Roseville, Grass Valley. Great places to escape the big city with Lake Tahoe only a stones throw away.
I've had the Torpedo but with 6.9% alcohol, I'm afraid this YS would have been an incoherent cluster fuck had I been throwing those down.
Good talk, Rick.

I've been out fishing with my husband and some friends a couple of times this summer. And I agree with you about the mountain lions and bears. I've seen more wildlife than you can shake a stick at (haha) on our trips over the years. Great yoursay, and funny as always, JR.

Have you ever wondered that there might be a sleuth of bears hiding in the bushes and going, "hey, come here. Look at this dude, he's all alone and he's talking to himself in the middle of fuckin' nowhere. Should we eat him? Nah man, I ain't goin' nowhere near that mad som'bitch!"

@ARNOLD-R-LANE We got this little watering hole out here where I live called "Steamies". Tuesday nights. The cougars are everywhere. Last call is at around 1:30am, by that time all the good ones are taken but there's a few burly swamp hogs in there that are just asking for it.
