Unfortunately for whomever is his future victim, this guy will never see the inside of a prison.
These guys always get deferred sentences, which allow them to have no felony record, and therefore will be rehired by another law enforcement agency.
A recent study (sept/oct 2011)
revealed that 13% of the law enforcement members in the state of Florida have been awarded this type of sentence (even for trafficking narcotics) and ARE STILL on the job.

In law enforcement, promotion is a way to deal with problem officers. What are they going to do, admit they hired a bad apple? Lol, No. That would look bad for the department. Promote him and reassign him somewhere where he can have the least impact.

Fact; this kind of shit happens more often that most know. Cops are a bunch of drama queens.
I was working the medic shift one evening and we were dispatched on a medical call.
