An airfoil creates a low pressure area on TOP of the wing. But that's for optimal results. You can use any somewhat flat object such as your hand at the right angle, hold it out the car window and feel positive or negative lift depending on the angle of attack if you drive fast enough. Same principle

Fallon Navel Air Station, Nevada. I take my sand rail to sand mountain just passed there. They buss us all the time often scarring the shit out of us. Awesome!
There is a bombing range on the other side of sand mountain, you can hear the explosions.
P.S If any of you Navy pilots read this, buss sand mountain more,everyone loves it.
