Unreported News: 25,000 Russian (2 Divisions)Troops Enter Dagestan

Shamil'kala,
Dagestan,
Islamic Emirate of North Caucasus

17th March 2012

According to sources from Wilayah
Nokhchicho, early in the morning on Saturday, a group of 25.000 soldiers
advanced toward Dagestan from the Russian base of Khankala and also
from the base near the Sheikh Mansur Airport (called Airport "North" by
the Russians occupants). The eyewitnesses counted more than 300 armored
vehicles, including tanks, not counting the hundreds of 'Urals' in the
column, which stretches over a distance of 10 to 15 kilometers.

Meanwhile, sources from Dagestan that a huge column of troops was seen earlier in the week, on March 14, south of Shamilkala.

The journalists of the local
newspaper 'Chernovik' reported that the convoy consisted mostly of
armored personnel carriers (BTRs), armored 'Urals' and military 'UAZs'.
When the head of the column passed the village of Agachaul, its tail was
still near the shopping center 'Kirgu' (in the center of Shamilkala). The journalists used a map and calculated that this represents approximately 10.5 Km.

A few hours after the first reports, it became clear that the column had turned toward Karabudahkent.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, it
became known that the troops were located in the wooded outskirts of
Gubden in Karabudakhkent district, and partially in Shuayb-Kala (frm.
Sergokali) district.

Sources in Chechnya have
confirmed to Dagestani journalists that a group of 25.000 troops,
comprised of 'Internal Troops' and intelligence units, entered in
Dagestan.

Sources of Kavkaz-Uzel also reported that a large number of military equipment and soldiers has been seen in the Karabudakhkent district.

Valimagomed Iziyev, a resident of Karabudakhkent, told the newspaper:
"We had never seen that. The entire highway was filled with tanks,
armored personnel carriers, armored trucks".

According to him, the troops are now stationed in the outskirts of the
village of Karabudakhkent (Administrative center of the district bearing
the same name), in a tent town they installed. According to the
residents of the village, since Monday (March 12) the schools of the
district are closed and vacation are declared, although officially the
schools should be closed for vacation on March 20.

"They say that the free premises of the schools will be occupied by the troops" - told the local residents.

The Dagestani MIA refused to comment the information about the entry of military equipments in the Karabudakhkent district.

Curiously, not a single Russian news agency has reported, even briefly,
about the deployment of such large forces from Chechnya, into Dagestan.

25.000 men, that's two full-fledged divisions. Dagestani journalists
believe that the deployment of such large forces and resources is part
of a plan to start large-scale military operations against the
Mujahideen of Dagestan.

The most modern military equipment are being deployed in the mountains
of the Province. Previously, T-90 tanks and multiple rocket launchers
Grad were delivered there. Three weeks ago, a tank exercise took place
on the training range Dalniy, in Temir-Khan-Shura (frm. Buynaksk).

In Dagestan, a large-scale war is awaited.
