@gyco I thought the same thing, but on 2nd viewing it looked like he thought he could swerve, not realizing she was apparently turning on to what would have been a kind of sweeping left. If he had just slammed on the brakes, and/or pulled into the car on his right, she'd be alive to cause another accident another day.
