I see it every day. People suffering from the normalcy bias. Completely shutting out Japans meltdown as if it could never effect us, well that hasn't been the case. People should be advised to avoid anything that can concentrate air impurities such as a cars air filter without putting on a mask beforehand. Rain, as you will see here, also has the ability to concentrate the radioactivity in the air. By itself it is near harmless, unless you were unlucky enough to catch a hot particle, but once concentrated in a filter or rain, it can be hazardous. Of course this radiation would wash off of you skin with soap and water, but if ingested or taken into the body it could become harmful. Be warned!!!

Everyone has forgot the tragedy in Japan, or at least it seems so. Well over 22,000 deaths and who knows what the radiation from Fukushima will do now and in the future. Some people don't care about anything unless it affects them. Thanks to the media we become numb and desensitized so that when we see chaos, murder, rape, death that it really has no effect on us. Cold, emotionless, mechanical beings that are easily manipulated and brainwashed.
Of course this is no where on the news. You know More..

@journeyman083 I think your analysis of the media is flipped around. It is because we DO NOT see the tragedy in Japan continuing that we are not affected by it, not because we have seen it. When things are on the news people care about them a lot. This is because the media plays HEAVILY on people's emotions, and they fall for it every time. It is the hysterically emotional people who are easily manipulated. You see, it is done by playing on emotions. Cold, rational people do not let their feelin More..

@wellybub Seeing the filthy in the media causes us to be desensitized. Yes they play heavily on our emotions but they didn't cover the Japan tragedy all that much compared to other tragedies.
What I'm saying is, crime shows, sex, and violence in general is glorified in movies, music, etc causing people to become cold. And that's the truth.

@CoreSyntax I do agree with you on people suffering from the normalcy bias. I'd still be very worried about the situation in Japan and the global consequences.

Lol - these are micro Sieverts. You'd get more radiation from a crate of bananas.

@BOMBBOMBIRAN
A crate of bananas from anywhere will set off radiation detectors.
Brazil nuts are even more radioactive than bananas.

@pootin
Yes - it puts this vid in perspective. The meter shows around 1 MICRO Sievert PER HOUR. You're in greater danger of getting sunburnt from moonshine than suffering radiation problems from that rain.
