West Bank resident who was sentenced in 2002 to 38 years in jail apprehended following overnight search of his home.
Israel has recorded dozens of incidents in which terrorists who were freed as part of the exchange deal violated the conditions of their release to the West Bank.
Most of them violated the terms of their release by not reporting each month at local Coordination and Liaison Administration offices.
Last November Israel arrested freed terrorist Sami Younes as he tried to cross the Rantis checkpoint near the settlement of Beit Aryeh. Another released terrorist was apprehended while attempting to cross into Jordan through the Allenby Bridge.

Ayman Sharouna, a resident of Dura, a Palestinian town near Hebron, was arrested on suspicion of engaging in terror-related activity.
Sharouna, who was sentenced by Israel to 38 years in prison, was freed in the first stage of the prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Relatives said IDF soldiers searched Sharouna's home during the night and then arrested him.
