A gunman wearing an Afghan police uniform has killed three Nato staff in the south of the country, the coalition has said.
The gunman was injured and later detained, Nato said.
Officials did not confirm the nationalities of the killed service members, or any other details of the incident.
More than 20 foreign personnel have been killed in so-called rogue shootings this year.
Observers say this has eroded morale among foreign forces.
"An individual wearing an Afghan National Civil Order Police uniform turned his weapon against International Security Assistance Force service members in southern Afghanistan today, killing three service members," Isaf, Nato's force in the country, said in a statement on Sunday.
Members of the Nato-led Isaf force are training their Afghan counterparts in preparation for a full handover of responsibility for security by 2014.
Revelations in February that US troops burned copies of the Koran at a base in Afghanistan - reportedly by accident - as well as the shooting of 16 Afghans by a US soldier in March have inflamed public opinion against the foreign forces.----

It's still safer than Chicago. Too bad we can't spend a couple of those billion dollars we are wasting in Afghanistan to fix cities like Chicago and put Americans to work. I can't figure out why our government puts foreign nationals and countries ahead of its own citizens.

If he was Afghan and killed 3 ISAF, I'm not sure the term "traitor" is correct. It depends on the mans allegiance. You can't expect his allegiance to be with foreign occupiers, which ISAF forces undoubtedly are, or a government that can be seen as puppets of those foreign occupiers.
A lot of people won't see him as a traitor, but as a patriot, part of a resistance against occupiers. If a member of the French resistance against the Germans had pulled soemthing like that off, killing th More..

There needs to be more mature supervision of these co-relations of training squads of ANA and NATO troops! By the way, checking the article brings up another which says there were 4 British troops, and 3 of them were killed leaving a checkpoint.
I can only wonder why....

The US spends 2 billion a week on this useless war, to put this into perspective the Chinese have spent 6 billion on their space program since 1992 (that's 20 years), 3 weeks in Afghanistan = 20 years of space exploration by China.
Is it any wonder the US is going broke.
