How does it work for the pilot, is he forced to see where the gunner is watching and rely on his instruments? I assume the FLIR/camera is operated by the gunner..

Pilot sits high and behind WSO( gunner) and can see over his head. Pilot can fire rockets independent of FLIR, but is point and shoot.
