US Soldier Throws Puppy Off Cliff - Iraq

Origionally shown on LiveLeak over a month ago this video has gained much attention on the net in the last couple of days. So far some sites have "named" the soldier concerned and also published phone numbers for his parents.

Even if this information were accurate and the video was proven to not be a hoax we, on LiveLeak, will not tolerate the publication of personal information that could lead to harrasment or worse. Yes, this video (if genuine) is a disgraceful act, but punishment is up to the authorities not some internet lynch mob. Anyone else seeking to publish the information on this site could well face legal action.

Although the mainstream media has not really picked up on this article the soldier (or the man named as the soldier) has been recieving a large ammount of threats to his person.

  • If you play it full screen and watch the puppies mouth at the very beginning it opens and then closes as he's turning it. Plus I thought dogs and cats became submissive when grabbed at the nape of the neck like that, especially little puppies and kittens.

    Either way I'm still disturbed.

  • Had to tell if it's real or not, didn't sound like a real puppy, yet again I've never thrown one off a cliff. If it's real,he's a prick for doing it and should be heavily cencored by the military for being a dickhead. I don't believe posting his adress was the right thing to do.

  • Clearly fake. Puppy was already dead. You can tell by looking at its hind legs which were contracted the entire time. They would have been extended and paddling. A stupid stunt nevertheless, and he ruined whatever military career he hoped to have because it's now under investigation according to Drudge.

  • I don't think it's been proven yet if the puppy was alive or dead but it is being investigated. As supermootsy stated, assholes are a dime a dozen anywhere you go and not a reflection of an entire group of people. Posting somebody's personal information over an alleged unproven crime is never a good idea.

  • The way the yelping sounds get fainter with distance you can bet this dog was ALIVE until it hit the ground.
