At-least one American soldier killed in Southern Afghanistan

At-Least one American soldier serving with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces has been killed in troubled southern Afghanistan.
The US-led military alliance confirmed on Wednesday that the soldier was killed by an explosion while he was on patrol.
The southern regions of Afghanistan are among the most dangerous for US-led troops.
The Taliban Mujahideen have stepped up their attacks against Afghan government forces and US-led foreign troops across the country after announcement of their spring offensive earlier this month.
