Laparoscopic Kidney Stone Extraction (Graphic)
Some of the stones the Doc pulls out are huge. This individual would die from the shear pain of trying to pass these boulders. I've been told by women who have passed them that it really is more painful than giving birth.

@luisxbeltran It's sad it is not included in the video. The sheer amount of stones and the size of some that were extracted is just staggering.

Had them several times over the past 10 years.Kidney was zapped to break one up it was so large. Crawled into the emergency room each time begging for morphine. Once the morphine is in, you feel a helluva lot better. Mine looked like coca-cola so I quit drinking soda and have been ok since. "knocks on wood". I still have my last stone. It hurt so damn bad coming out, decided it would be a cool souvenir. It is also pretty large as far as kidney stones that you can urinate out go.

@Elitelx My first encounter with morphine was when i went in the middle of the night with heavy stinging pains in my side to the hospital. Kidney stones they said, but all i cared for was the the morphine, i never slept so good! :D
Luckily i passed them through without any surgery needed.

This, i've been through. Sadly, the stones kept coming back.
Lithotripsy, nadda.
Finally, some witchdoctor at a health-nut store told me to try magnesium citrate saline solution, claiming it would dissolve the stones. In desperate pain, i'd try anything- and it worked. In minutes.
Pointless story, perhaps.

Also, these look different and wierd compared to mine. Mine were rice-sized and spiky all over. Under a microscope it was like the surface of that asteroid in Armageddon.

I had one 20 years ago, the pain was horrendous, and when I finally passed it, it was the color of coca-cola, that's when I decided soda pop wasn't for me. I quit drinking soda pop and haven't had one since, while my grandfather had them all the time, and drank several bottles of coca-cola a day.
The pain was so bad that this surgery looked like it would have been far less painful.

@grayokc I read an article that was about how soldiers in the latest Iraq war struggled with an over abundance of kidney stones from drinking all the energy drinks they did in order to stay awake on patrol. Energy drinks/pop is definitely a known, contributing factor.
