Nov 21 2010: Oiled Man-a-Wars on Pensacola Beach
November 21, 2010: There were several man-a-wars washed up on the beach today. They looked dark and oily.

Another observation was the discoloration of the sand. I couldn't tell if it was from all the heavy equipment, or if they're actually mixing sand. It was looking pretty brown to me.

Yeah, I'm sure that they're the only sea life affected, so it's all good, right? Does it occur to you that other species are dying as well, and that this video just shows a fraction of what just happens to wash ashore on that small section of beach?
Great video ladies. What are they doing with that earth moving equipment, and was that recent footage?

Finally big oil got something right altho indirectly. Jellyfish serve no purpose but to sting and piss ppl off. Its good atleast someone is out there doing something to teach them a lesson.

I thought these were condoms when I first saw them in Ft. Lauderdale. They were everywhere and my dumbass was swimming in the waters for the first two days I was there. I found out what they were and got my ass out of the ocean.
I would say they look oily btw.

Yep.. they don't look right. Problem is its not just the man o'wars, its the animals that eat the man o'wars and the animals that eat them etc etc. Might reconsider the shellfish or tune.
Music was too melodramatic.

I agree with Max but, what about the sand crabs? I mean are you finding them dead also?
Great Upload and I am scared for that beach in twenty years!

It's interesting how your videos upset people. Aside from your opinion on Dea Sea drilling at the end of the vid (I don't necessarily agree with it, then again I don't live on the gulf coast), you are just taking pictures of the beach, and they HAVE to make it known how they don't see anything wrong, like BP is taking notes on who's their liveleak ally or not. I also love how everyone "knows people who live on the coast down there". Carry on, Ladies.

I was in Ft. Walton Beach on Nov. 9, 2010 through Nov. 14th, 2010. IT was perfect weather and perfect beaches. Not one sign of any oil on the beach, in the water. Went to the beach everyday and swam and fished. People need to stop spreading negativity for that area. The businesses' there are suffering badly.

First off, Ft Walton Beach is an hour drive from Pensacola. Second, Ft Walton Beach did not get the heavy oil like we did on June 23rd. And thirdly, a FIVE day vacation dosen't give much weight to your opinion. Fucking tourist!

Sucks Penns. beach has always been one of my favorite places to visit, I live in TN and go down to FL a few times a year if I can.....fucking shame, even "less intelligent" animals know not to piss and shit where they live, we humans are determined to mess up our most beautiful places to live.
Thanks for the upload ladies, voted for sure.
oh btw great tunes also

One of the favorite foods of green sea turtles?....jellyfish. I live in Hawaii and we see them eating jellies like it was chocolate cake. I was fishing off the rocks once and kept getting stung by the fishing line a s I reeled it in. I looked in the water and saw dozens of Portuguese man-o-war and a couple of green turtles eating them like they were going out of style. So, you may not care much about jellies because they are inconvenient to you, and you may not even care about green sea turtles. More..

I have to be honest. Maybe it's the screen resolution, (I tried full screen too) but I'm not seeing a huge difference between the 2007 photos and the ones proposed to be recent.
Sorry.
