American Rifleman takes a ( lengthy) tour of the Stag arms factory, where they produce top grade M4 rifles. These rifles are sold for $800 or less, the piston action model is about $200 more.
Among their products are an M4 clone, and described in the video is one of their other rifles, a factory made piston-action M4 specially designed for maximum component life, easy cleaning compared to direct impingement rifles, and engineered to eliminate bolt tilt, a common complaint of piston operated civilian M4 rifles.


These rifles are considered better then mid-level quality and come with a lifetime warranty. They claim in their ads you can shoot out the barrel after 40,000 rounds if you want, and they will still fix it for free. Stag arms has produced mil-spec parts for several manufacturers of M4/M-16 rifles for 35 years, and their upper or lower receivers are very popular among M4 builder hobbyists.
