@TMoray1 Legally and geographically the islands would fall under Taiwanese jurisdiction, but the PRC sees Taiwan as theirs anyway so a Taiwanese controlled Diaoyu islands would be viewed as a consolation prize.

What will never happen: All countries who have some legal right on these islands (before and after WW2) collectively using these islands in a joint-venture. The world is not ready for something like this. Sharing and stuff. Sad.
