Eurofighter almost crashes during testing
Old video from 07. 1:15 very hairy. Is that deliberate or mistake. Seems a fine line

That was an "OMG!!!" moment that Pilot was SSSSooooooo lucky. That looks like a Mirage III to me....if Apple was into Airplanes they would sue these guys for Copy write infringement...yup 2 wings, 2 canards, 1 tail and an engine...yup Steve Jobs thought that up therefore you must pay...

That aircraft costs the tax-payers too much for doing those moves so close to the ground.

An unexpected downdraught is all it would have taken to make an even more interesting video.

@FoodPig pretty much all modern fighters are. They have "negative static stability" or "relaxed static stability". Basically that means that the plane will not keep flying in a straight line if the controls were released. It takes a flight control computer to keep these planes under control. They want to turn and turn hard. As soon as you pitch them a direction they immediately turn the direction that you let them turn.

It looked a bit 'oopsies'
Normally they go by their altimeter when initiating ground approaching aerobatics. Sometimes they forget to zero it before take-off. That's been the cause of a fair few airshow crashes.

@wormhole
Then why do they fly into the ground so often? The answer is that they need to set the altitude of the airfield accurately into the system. They can and do forget.
Radar altimeters only work in normal flight. They don't work when you are upside down so the barometer is used instead.

I'll stick with the F-22 program. Euro-anything sounds too expensive and too embedded.

Was that an engine stoppage and restart mid-air?
Take off was poorly controlled. The UK will just have to stop hiring on Gypsies for pilots.

1:15 is called 'cocky pilot almost forgot about inertia' and is one of the leading causes of featured liveleak plane videos.
