Interesting indeed, but certainly not enviable. They have been invaded, conquered, butchered and exploited by foreign powers like nobody else, and all their existence they have only made pacts with traitors that were too coward to stand by their promises. That includes us who were too weak to stand up against the URSS after WWII to claim respect of their sovereignty. It is surprising that they still trust anyone or anything on this planet, what a noble people they are.
