I saw this at first and thought,"Okay, this is one of the more strange videos I have ever watched..." Then I thought about it...Thought about the folks I grew up with in Pittsburgh who were Jewish and Holocaust survivors and it started to make more sense to me. The thought of dancing on top of the grave like soil of Nazi Germany's past would empower them. As a Catholic kid growing up, the only time religion came up between us was during the holidays. The Jewish kids got Christmas gifts and food from us and we got Chanukah gifts and food from their parents. Good times for sure. On one occasion, during some Jewish holiday, I remember asking one of my Jewish friends dads what the meaning of all the Jewish holidays was. He was a Holocaust survivor and did business with my dad. He looked at me straight in the eye and said,"Son, I can explain every Jewish Holiday easily in one sentence. They tried to kill us,they failed and we survived.... Let's Eat!"
There exists no shortage of people who still hate the Jews for whatever reason. I get that. Such is Jewish and Israeli history. I think most who still hate the Jew and Israeli,do so because they can no longer bully and kick them around anymore. They are more likely to get their own teeth kicked in. Such is the history of the bully.
A tribute to some of the most toughest, stubborn and resilient people I have been honored to know. The Jews. They indeed Will Survive.
