Space Shuttle Enterprise Visits New York City
The U.S. space shuttle Enterprise has arrived in New York after hitching a ride on a jumbo jet - NASA's second shuttle flyover of a major U.S. city in just two weeks. Enterprise will soon make its new home in Manhattan's Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. It had been used as an Earth-bound test vehicle and never flew into space. VOA's Daniela Schrier was there to capture the event.

I grew up in the Gemini/Apollo era. I hope this sparks kids into exploring the world and space. Obama should be fucking ASHAMED of himself for cancelling a space program that took only 1% of the U.S. budget. Cut WELFARE or go after welfare and heath care cheats. LEAVE THE SPACE PROGRAM ALONE. We have benefited FAR TOO MUCH from it to cut it.

They should put a "Obama 2012" billboard on the rudder, to honor the man who personally killed NASA and manned spaceflight in America, and surrendered Space to the Russians and Chinese, unconditionally, and without preconditions.

I have never listened to Rush.Not once.Don't even know what radio station he is on.
But I grew up with the space program, remember the Apollo missions, and the shuttle. Even saw a couple,as well as a fuel tank coming down over Hawaii at 5 am. I know about 5% of what they accomplished, and just that was great, and a tremendous benefit to science and national security. I was proud to be a American when I saw NASa succeed, or fail.
