Performing an energy-sappy set on
stage to an arena full of cheering fans is clearly thirsty work.
At least, it proved to be the case for Bruce
Springsteen who downed a fan's half finished beer during a concert in
Philadelphia on Tuesday.
The 62-year-old rocker was handed the half drunk
glass of beer after leaping into the audience during a rendition of hit
Raise Your Hand.
He sat down and happily downed the
beer which he was given by a middle aged female fan.
The star told the arena: 'I need a rest'
after the fist pumping performance which saw him raise the roof on the
area full of excited fans who were enthusiastically dancing away to the
back the drink, he threw the plastic cup into the crowd before
continuing with his performance and making his way back on stage.
The singer is currently on his
Wrecking Ball Tour, to promote the album of the same name which he
released earlier this month.
The album is the singer's first after E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons passed away last year.
