Hundreds of Foreigners blocked traffic in Guangzhou, China
It started with a foreigner died in hospital after a fight with a driver over taxi fare, which is under investigation by police. Hundreds of foreigners gathered outside the police station and blocked the traffic on the main road during rush hours. Riot police were sent to control the chaos. The crowd were dispersed after two hours of patient persuasion by police. Police issued warning that all people, Chinese or foreign nationals, shoud all abide by laws in China.

@brat_boy Chinese investment in much of Africa also means many Africans moving to China to invest there too. Guangzhou has quite a sizeable sub-saharan population mainly dealing with the shipping of electronics and mobile phones back to their home countries.

I am an American in China, but not in Guangzhou. Went to GZ in 2010. It was OK. I did score some green bud from an African outside a bar. Used a website.
Chinese taxi drivers usually like me, but I am a white guy, and I also know most of my city as well as them. Sometimes, I get into it with them, but never to the point of violence.
