Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System w/ M282 Warhead in HD
BAE Systems announced today that the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon
System scored its first-ever penetrating guided-rocket shots with the
M282 warhead during recent tests at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
The
tests, deemed successful by U.S. Army and Navy representatives,
illustrate the product's exceptional capability to engage targets at
close range and penetrate complex targets.

The Engineers creating these weapons are pretty smart guys. They go to college like any other engineer. Can you imagine the joy they must have when one of these guys meet up for a beer with your college buds and it goes around the table about what each of them are working on? Tom is working on a new energy efficient cooling system for refrigerators, Mike is doing R and D on ceramic heatshields. Then it gets to Brock.Brock says, "Ah,,,nothing really. Ok, if you really want to know, I'm the weapons designer on a project called the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System w/ M282 Warhead."

Regarding the poster's comments about being able to brag about working on this project, I wouldn't be impressed. I have much more respect for people who use science and technology to help, not kill. Personally I'm involved in protein design research with many applications in the healthcare field. I'd rather heal than kill any day.

Awesome.Nothing more interesting then protein design research. I was just about to upload an edge of your seat video of protein design applications in the healthcare field. One minute you're crying and the next you're laughing.
Hold tight, it's coming right up!

@Fire37Rescue I'm betting you have no fucking clue what protein design even entails or what a protein even really is other than a word on a nutrition label on shit you buy at the grocery store...
I think designing fluorescent proteins that bind neurotransmitters allowing the firing of a nerve cell to be visualized in real time is pretty badass. It has applications in all sorts of studies into neurological diseases.
I get to operate 18 tesla supermagnet NMR machines and travel to particle acce More..

I imagine a missle that big would take out a tank anyway, ....but that is awesome. It does not look survivable. At all.

The good thing about being inside the APC is that the shells inside blow too, giving a nice pureeing effect.

GREAT video !! Love the way the weapon hit low and used the ground as a natural deflector to force the blast upward !! +1
And sadly , their are no survivors !!

Correction.....The Engineers creating these weapons will come to the self realization at some point in their life that they have used their intellect to design weapons that have been used to kill people. This will have a huge impact on their outlook on their lives.

@Foster777 Unfortunately naive pacifist nitwits rarely experience any kind of epiphany. Intelligent people on the other hand (like the people who designed this weapon), realize that things in the real world don't work like they do in your silly deluded fantasy world.
