Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies
busted him for stealing power for five years.
Sheriff’s detectives say James Bozeman stole $3,000 worth of power by using a pair of jumper cables.
Wednesday night the Bozeman house was dark folks at the home made their way around using a flashlight. That’s after Marion County Deputies busted Bozeman after they found his rigged-up power source.
Deputies say James Bozeman used jumper cables on the electrical pole next to his garage. The cables bypassed the power meter and were connected to the breaker box. From there wires ran into Bozeman’s home allowing him to get power without it registering on the meter.
Deputies confronted Bozeman who admitted to the scheme saying he didn’t have the money to pay his power bill.
We went to see if Bozeman wanted to talk and were confronted by his son who said he was not willing to comment on his dad’s ordeal.
Deputies say all in all, Bozeman stole thousands of dollars worth of power since 2005. He was arrested and charged with theft of services. He has since bonded out.
