(August 13th, 2012) A tunnel built beneath central Rome during the fascist era of Benito Mussolini
has been found to house a flourishing cannabis factory.
Police launched a raid of the tunnel on Monday, after smelling a strong odour of marijuana around its entrance in southeastern Rome. Underground passages in the area are commonly used to grow mushrooms but police discovered this farm was also growing rows of marijuana plants hidden behind an initial section of mushrooms.
Video footage released by the police showed the marijuana cultivation site stretching along the 4,000 square metre tunnel, as well as stacks of bags filled with cannabis, weighing and processing equipment, artificial lights to dry the leaves. Police said they confiscated 340 kilos of the drug worth an estimated 3 million euros. The 57-year-old owner of the farm has been arrested.

I don't smoke weed, but I think it should be decriminalized and made legal like alcohol. I think it has medicinal value for those THAT ACTUALLY NEED IT. I think a high percentage of those with medical prescriptions are full of shit. I would like to see it sold in liquor stores next to booze, just so we can tax it like booze get these stoners to SHUT THE FUCK UP about glamorizing its use.

@Derek Dean I used to grow it when I was younger in fact I was quite good at it NFT wet root systems with mother plants and clones full constant propagation setups.
Then they put the penalties up, so I stopped because it wasn't worth 10 years in a box.
I actually didn't even smoke it at the time I just enjoyed growing the plants they are amazing beautiful plants.
