CERRITOS -- It's not your typical ATM robbery. This time the suspects stole the entire ATM, in the middle of the night, and the whole thing was caught on surveillance tape.

It happened about 2:20 a.m. Thursday near Palo Verde Avenue and South Street, according to sheriff's Detective Mike Gaitan of the Cerritos Station. Investigators are not releasing the name of the business or the address.

Security video of the crime shows two men breaking into the business through a front door, Gaitan said.

The men went inside, attached a chain between the van and the ATM and dragged it outside using the van, Gaitan said. They then loaded it into the van and drove off.
