The average person makes several mistakes a day, vast majority will be minor but all it takes is a simple mistake like being distracted or a fraction of a second then bang lights out or a lifetime of rehabilitation. I was going to leave a comment like "Darwinism at work" but the truth is we all make mistakes, this guy was just unlucky it ended his life.. Which is a hell of a lot better than someone else making a mistake and you dying for it.

He ran the light man! That is one 'mistake' that you can never make (vid is case in point).
I have no sympathy except for the guy in the car that was forced to witness/partake in this entirely avoidable disaster.

@peterjames2009 When I was going through a divorce many years ago, I was lost in thought while driving and forced a biker off the road. Didn't hurt him and just broke a turn signal and peg. The guy was way too nice about it. He should have beat the crap out of me and I probably would have let him. But the thought of what could have been still scares me- even after 22 years. Like you said, just that one mistake can change several lives forever.

@migs1955 @mytwocents i know so many people who have had serious bike accidents, a very close friend lost both his legs :(. He was being stupid going 80-120mph in a 60mph zone was leaning into a corner and had to break suddenly because of an on coming car, the bike dropped on his leg ripping it off, the bike flipped, landing on his other leg which now he has no use of. Although i agree riding a bike is fun, its not that fun!

@peterjames2009. The irony that you spelled brake wrong is not lost here. Also there are places for riders to have plenty of fun on their bikes. There is also plenty of proper protective equipment. The wrong place is on city streets in jeans and sneakers. They get what they deserve when they do that stupid shit.
