  • Best mini vacation spot I've ever been to with the family. We go off season, four or five times a year. My boy loves The Great Canadian Arcade, my wife loves the Falls, and I love the local Kelsey's (Guinness on tap and best food for your money in town), or Montana's Steak House (Guinness in a pub can, but, oh well, the ribs are to die for, meat falls off the bone it's so tender and juicy).
Niagara Falls, Ontario, from Riverside Rd to Clifton Hill, fucking beautiful. Love the locals, too.
    Bah, I More..

  • It's a shame they wouldn't let him do it like he wanted, untethered.

    Well done Nik.

    • @Ruffus It's gonna dog him forever, there will always be the footnote "with safety harness"

    • @LookinUp My kids started watching this at dinner. We're a relaxed family so we chow in the family room in recliners. They show a damn safety harness attached to the guy! What the hell? Granted, I would not do what he did because that's just not my deal but he could not die if he fell. He's be whisked back by a pulley system...plus, the whole show was one big sappy bullshit-way-too long-mouthy program. I'm glad my kids got to see it though, this was a close to non event as Geraldo Riveras Capone More..

    • @Fire37Rescue oh man, I remember the Geraldo thing like it was yesterday. I just found the whole tight rope thing boring and anticlimactic. I know it must be very difficult but after the build up from the presenters it was like "you mean that's it"...

  • Ok, this dude has balls, but, . . . unlike previous stuntmen, he has an extra wide cable, a 40' balance bar, a 20' counter-sway hanger following behind and inertial cable dampeners on both sides. Daring and cool but NOT the same as Blondin.

  • I miss the days of Karl Wallenda when they showed his hovering in 30 mph winds, shaking like the 78 year old dude that he was and then falling without a safety line attacked. In comparison, this was a cakewalk.

  • They were trying to hype up how dangerous it was going to be during the broadcast and the guy sets out with a safety harness on. While it was no easy feat it certainly wasn't dangerous like they tried to make it out to be.
