Toronto Eaton Centre Shooting - Immediate Aftermath
Part of channel(s): Deadly shooting at Eaton Centre in Toronto (current event)

Shaky cell phone footage from a shopper at Toronto's Eaton Centre captures one of the injured victims from a fatal shooting in the mall's food court on Saturday, June 2, 2012. The incident happened at 6:30 PM when a man fired 15 shots, leading to the death of a 25-year old man (apparently the intended target) and injuries to seven others, including a 13-year old boy who was critically wounded. The shooter managed to escape in the panic that ensued and remains at large.

This shooting incident is the most serious incidence of gun crime in downtown Toronto since 2005, when a 15-year old was killed in a shootout between two groups of gangsters on nearby Yonge Street on Boxing Day.
