For almost 65 years, each and every year, The busy streets are put on freeze for couple of minutes - This is taking place in Israel, 3 times in one week (this one), when a national siren is being heard all over the country, the first time during the Holocaust memorial day, and the other two times during the memorial day for the fallen soldiers and terror victims.
When the siren is being heard almost everyone stops and stand still, even the thousands of cars on the high ways.
You might consider it as some sort of national meditation, in which every one takes a break from his busy thoughts and life, and think about those who are no longer with us.
Some of you might find it uniqe, others might find it strange, but the way I see it - If the whole world (or at list part of it) was doing it once a year for all the global victims of war, it could have been couple of minutes which really unite us all...
The videos are taken from Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem.

No matter what you call this, I'm touched by the unity of these people. It is something that the population of many nations lack.

They are probably just doing what they are told to do like good little sheep. What happens if one of the sheep doesn't stop? do the other sheep turn on them?
Either way, It's retarded.

i find this very interesting, they show respect for thier fallin and in this country we cant get our kids to tell us what "Rememberance Day" is, tell them that the new "Twilight " movie is coming out and they will stand in line for days to get tickets
i aplaud any country that spends the time to remember the good the bad and the ugly of their history

@GunZenBomZ
Really? THEY are the reason? Sorry, I can't remember where Israeli troops are deployed right now. I do know that of all the major conflicts happening right now, the majority involve Muslims.
You should be careful. God said he will bless those who bless his people, and curse those who curse them.
I know, I know... "There is no God."

What a beautiful gesture. Me, as being Austrian and thus from one of the countries who is to blame for the "Holocaust", regret so much what happened back there and wish that all of us would simply stop dividing people by stereotypically classify them according to their race, sex, religion etc. This, on the other hand, will not make me stop criticizing all kinds of misbehaviour, be it radical islamism, radical zionism, disrespect of local culture and opportunism partially shown by immig More..

@Hockeyman123 Another beautiful gesture would be kicked all the Muslim scum out of Europe back to their shithold countries.
They've brought nothing but hate and violence.

@Radical Dreamer ah dude just pay attention that you wouldn't be the one getting kicked out since in ten years christians will be minority in europe.
And even though i am from a muslim country as an atheist i am so fucking angry to idiots like you ,who push muslims to become more fanatic with their racist comments.
Don't buy the hate propaganda don't take sides and people will realize much faster how silly to believe that beardy guy on sky.

IF they would do that in north korea, the comments would be like "Brainwashed people".
So i'm gonna say the same: BRAINWASHED PEOPLE.
Forced to stop. Consequences would have been never the same.
