Guamuchil, Sinaloa. Two subjects were arrested yesterday in possession of an arsenal, by elements of 42th Infantry Battalion.
According to a spokesman for the militia one of the arrested men was identified as Juan Angel Santos Lara, 23, who has his home in La Gloria Cologne, in Culiacan.

The other detainee was identified as Luis Fernando Romo Vaca, 19, of Cologne Cuauhtémoc, also in Culiacan.

Forfeiture. the military seized from the two suspects, thirteen AK-47 rifles, two .50 caliber Barrett rifles.

Also there were seized one shotgun and two 5.7x28 caliber guns also known as "matapolicías/cop-killer" along with a 9 mm pistol and four fragmentation grenades.

The elements of the army also seized, 89 magazines and 3,563 rounds of ammunition, eight bullet proof vests, two tactic vests, and five suv's, two of them are bullet proof

Capture. According to spokesmen for the militia, the arrest of the two subjects was made when elements of the 42th infantry battalion were performing a routine patrol in the community of El Salitre,Sinaloa.

When conducting surveillance, the soldiers observed two suspicious vehicles, so they ordered the drivers to pull over to make an inspection on the vehicles, but the drivers ignored the soldiers's orders and tried to flee the checkpoint, the military chased them and the suspects were arrested moments later.

Upon searching the vehicles, the military found out that the drivers were armed, and after some "questioning", the subjects told the military that they had more weapons and vehicles, which later were confiscated.
