Kabul (BNA) The National Police forces carried out five cleaning up
operations in the last 24 hours in some provinces of the country,
interior ministry press office said.

The mopping up operations carried out in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kandahar,
Helmand and Urozgan provinces in which 13 insurgents were killed and
five others arrested by police forces.

The interior ministry press office said, in these operations 315 Kg
narcotics, 16 Kalashnikovs, a rocket launcher, 2 PK machine guns, 16
communication sets, 16470 light bullets, a motorbike and a large
quantity of explosive materials have been seized by police forces as
well.

It is said that police forces while patrolling in the related areas of
Mohammadagha district of Logar province discovered and neutralized a
planted anti-vehicle mine yesterday.

According to another report, the personnel of 101 Asmaye security
command zone of Kabul arrested 8 persons on charges of different crimes
from related areas of 1st , 3rd and 15th precincts of Kabul and Shakar
Dara district during the last 24 hours.

The arrested men are under police custody.
