The 22-year-old Jacksonville woman who was aggravated and angry at her 3-month old son for crying while she was on facebook, received 50 years in prison for killing her baby.

Alexandra Tobias was charged with second-degree murder and received the maximum penalty.
Tobias was arrested for shaking her 14 week old son, Dylan Lee Edmondson, to death while she was playing Farmville on Facebook.

Before she was sentenced, Tobias pleaded to the judge asking for mercy.
Tobias said, "I realize I do deserve consequences, but the death of my son is a life sentence in itself. So could you please consider that I am still young and I have ambitions, potential, hopes and dreams."The judge responded to her statement saying, as a parent, she is responsible for protecting her child, and yet she ended up killing it.

The baby's father and other family members were present at the sentencing. The grandfather of the child commented, and expressed how upset they were that they will never get to share memories with their grandson or hear his first words.

Tobias expressed to family members she has been messed up since the recent death of her mother. She thinks it may have affected her psychological state and may have added to her frustration and aggression on the night she shook her son to death.
