Peacock spider
This is awesome footage. We have these spiders here. I only discovered them last year. And after watching this video I see there are a lot of female peacock jumpers around. Looks like a good year for domestic violence in the spider world, with the females wearing the pants.

Yes they are. The first one I found spun me out (pun intended). Just looked like an average jumper until I grabbed the 90mm macro. I called it the graffiti jumper until I knew what it was. The colors are so intense.

Never knew much about jumping spiders but after posting vid of Thomas Shahan and his amazing macro stuff i see jumping spiders in a completely different light.
These males are just incredible in color. Nice.
One problem though, every time i pick one up, the little buggers decide to jump 2 feet away before i can inspect them.

Remarkable video! The courtship dance is truly amazing, the design and colors so beautiful on such a tiny critter. Beats dinner and a movie. The voice over was good too. Great job!
