Web fight videos attacked
A small preview of BBC's Panorama programme to air July 30, 2007 in which YouTube and LiveLeak are investigated in regards to fight videos.

Thousands of videos added a day? That would simply make video hosting sites not viable; and since when was it illegal to take a video of an illegal act? Sure, it may be illegal for them not to report it, but I have never heard of any law saying that the video documentation of illegal acts was illegal. Hell, bank robberies are shown on television all the time. Oh and youtube is a little bit out of Britain's jurisdiction.

"They are making profit from this" -- Well yeah, we (humans) do a lot of stupid, amazing, beautiful things where the site creators should make money off it. Never a dull moment in the homosapian world that's for sure. If they were to take off the fighting, that means all the terrorist should take off the IED and ambush stuff! Give me a break.

I love the Web fight videos of terrorists being eradicated. It's like you're a video game player and stepping on little bearded roached, hearing their little screams of allah ac.....CRUNCH! There's one thing that they seem to have forgotten about these videos. There have been times that using those videos have helped them find the perps and put them in jail. I don't spend much time watching those videos, but if they can use them to put the bastards doing that kind of stuff in jail, then more power to the video!

Ok, I had to turn off ad blocking to check... How is liveleak making money off this? There are no ads. There are no pay subscriptions. They don't charge you to upload content.
I'm genuinely curious now, there is an "advertise on livelink" link... Are some of the videos actually paid advertisements? If they are, damn fine job that I haven't noticed enough to be annoyed.
