helps get rid of the slow kids
we had a thing call giant stripes,a pole with 7 or 8 chains with brass hand holds to swing with,(like a may poll)every week some kid would get stitches from being hit with one,found out who the slow and dumb kids were pretty quick, now we protect the dumb,thats why we are this way,,too many dumb ones getting a free pass

That's awesome! I remember spinning like crazy on a maypole swing with friends while someone spun us around faster and faster. We'd see who could hold on the longest. I think a lot of states have outlawed them now :/ Dumb ass kids break a leg or an arm and the parents knee jerk reaction is to sue the owners of the playground (city, county, or state). At least we still have carousels....for now.
