You are correct,but is was Clinton that was in charge during black hawk down. He is the one that made them go in with Humvee's. They wanted to go in with armor personnel carriers and he would not let them because he was worried how it would LOOK. He killed those men needlessly by not allowing them to go in with armor. Actually hes spot on. I would love to see you back up what your saying. They were denied any type of armored vehicle or aerial gunship. AH6s are not gunships they are scout helos. Nor are nightstalkers. It may seem to be overkill for a mission like this to someone ignorant of the subject. Show of force prevents killing as much as it causes it. They probably would not of played that day if we had gunships and tanks rolling there.

It's strange because an officer told us about his serving in congo during my military service. And he said bigger gun wins over in Africa. If you come in with bigger guns the enemies stay calm as they now they will lose. Thus they sent a mechanized battalion to Congo to ensure they had the biggest guns.
So that decision to prevent them from using better vehicles is strange indeed.

Im unsure of the make/model of these vehicles, but they are certainly new.
