The musician best known as Snoop Dogg — now known as
“Snoop Lion” after he visited Jamaica and became a reggae singer — gave
a profanity-laced endorsement of President Barack Obama
last Friday. Speaking to the press the Toronto International Film
Festival, the prolific rapper declared: “They need to give Obama four
more years, man.”
“Bush fucked up for eight years, so you gotta at least give [Obama]
at least eight years,” Snoop explained. “I mean he cleaned half the shit
up in four years. Realistically, it ain’t like you gave him a clean
house. Y’all gave him a house where the TV didn’t work, the toilet was
stuffed up. Everything was wrong with the house, so he had to come and
get y’all thing together,” he continued.
The “Gin & Juice” rapper then went on to praise Obama for his role in last year’s killing of terror leader Osama bin Laden:
“He went knocked down our most hated and most wanted — the one who had
our terror on orange or red or whatever it was on. He went and found
him. The one that Bush couldn’t seem to find, the one that seemed to fly
away the day of the 9-11. Remember all that? He went and found him and
knocked him down, so don’t forget about that.”
“Now everyone is peaceful and able to move and go have a good time,”
he continued. “It’s because he made that happened. So please don’t
forget that.”
“So give him four years to get his thing together and finish this
deal out,” Snoop implored, before referring to the high praise Obama
received last week during the DNC from a former president: “You heard
what Clinton said, you loved Clinton, didn’t you?”
