Quoted comment by WayUpNorth: Illegal Immigrant-entry was against the law
Legal Immigrant-entry was within the law

That's our law, respect it or leave.
Now STFU...
Try taking the moral high ground with an alien, the world knows your history thats why I like this debate so much you have not a leg to stand on
Actually I am quite familiar with the problems associated with immigation. My wife is an immigrant and she/we did it the legal way...
So as for "taking the moral high ground",
I have already done that...
Doesn't really matter what the world knows of our history, we have never advertised "free illegal immigration".
Again I say, you are not from here and are not a resident here, so worry about your own country, whatever it is you claim, we can tack care of ours...
Quoted comment by Bushwack: Warren, I just block you for blocking sabran, now block me, then someone else can block that someone, till we block the whole site.
There has been talk of giving Mexicans temp work permits but the idea gets lost in politics because some politicians insist on linking the idea to amnesty for the estimated 12 million that are here already and people are disgusted by that. It would help farmers but would do nearly nothing to lower the cost of consumer goods. The business class wants them because they hold down the cost of hourly wages for contractors whose need for them is plummeting with the housing economy. Americans might allow the idea of temp workers if the government can prove it is in control of the border. Right now they can't so people are not feeling very charitable as they confront insecurity already in their own jobs. They should get rid of NAFTA which caused agriculture in Mexico to collapse and its workers to go border busting
Extremely reliable Mexican Mafia. Product costs are controlled by the owners not the market, granted as the wages are driven down, eventually costs might move down but no gauranty there. America wasn't made wealthy by the immigrant labor. Only a hand full control the money and the Capital wealth. A great speaker named Will Rogers once said, "God will continue to bless America as long as her natural resources don't run out. Upper Echelons of the socio-economic strata in America benefit greatly from the illegal immigrant labor while the middle class is being destroyed due to out-sourcing of jobs to places like India and Ireland, while at the same time paying the costs for uninsured illegals using our hospitals and food stamp programs. So it's not quite as simple as it first appears. I too am not in love with my country but I find myself stuck in the middle with jokers on my left and clowns on my right!

illegal immigrant
and a immigrant
I think he can understand it, it's just that it's easier for the purposes of his argument to pretend that he can't.

Brilliant post Warren...you asked the astounding question..."What's illegal about breaking the law?"
Posted Feb-1-2008 by "Blackhawk067" (R)
So it wasn't just me who reasoned that out... Hmmm.
