  • LOL... This is like those promotional videos or safety videos in the US...Where everyone is wearing safety glasses, and safety helmets, speaking proper English...But if you go to one of those factories unexpectedly, 2 dudes are smoking crack and shooting dice in the locker room, some dude is sticking his penis through the finger guard on a dare. Some dude is on the phone arguing with his wife, machinery is overspeeding, and no one gives a fuck.

    • @Mariner1 then when shit happens the unions blame it all on the owners, and lawsuits fly. gosh.

    • @Mariner1 Yeah. I work at UPS and we have to watch hazardous materials videos every once in a while, and the people working in the video are carefully placing perfectly cube shaped boxes on belts at a very slow pace and smiling the whole time.

Then you go into the actual warehouse and boxes are fucking everywhere, being thrown and kicked.

  • There are moving companies in the US that will do this. It not about the country, but how much you're willing to spend. Years ago, I used to do this, and we had a few jobs where we even had to clean the breakfast table, wash then pack the dishes, fold laundry, etc. Some folk are that lazy and/or busy, but we did charge a lot more money though.

  • I fucking love the attention to detail and perfection that the Japanese have. Why no other country is as courteous as Japan I still wonder.

    • @HalfChuck Yeah, the Japanese don't even ask for a tip for the delivery of a large pizza. It only costs $30!

Politeness is deeply ingrained in the culture, partly because of the high population density, and partly because in the past, higher ranking citizens could kill those beneath them without penalty. It's their solution to making sure everyone gets along.

    • @s7rugg1e They don't need 'tips' - the drivers are paid a good wage and don't need to rely on tip culture.

    • @HalfChuck I will tell you why, bacause japan is a "racist" country, at least by lib logic. A homogeneous society without mass immigration, that brings social stability, peace and trust.
Just like white countrys in the 50's or 60's.

    • @Ihavecrabs
Probably it will be more expensive then all my stuff that carried

    • @Rasko Exactly. You hit the nail on the head. This will only be benefitial if you work for the military or a company willing to pay for your moving costs. Regarding this particular moving service.

  • Probably about 2500 bucks, but worth every penny if you can afford it. Moving is a pain in the ass and respect should be given to anyone doing it for a living...

    • @godbluff IDK, all those people and equipment for an entire day at Japanese wages. Probably closer to a five digit figures.

      Posted Feb-23-2013 By

    • @KaaaBOOM Exactly ... over here looking at 10 grand easy. No way for JUST 2500 for 3 people to pack, move and unpack you WITHOUT stealing all your valuables.

  • I like how everything is explained in great detail, all but the price

    • @qdUBq are you moving in japan or why is that relevant?

      Posted Feb-23-2013 By

    • @Harril
I'm guessing when you go to hire a company to provide you with any type of service you make the face in your avatar when the topic of price is discussed then sign on the dotted line? Since its irrelevant and all..

  • We just leave everything behind. Cheaper.
    .
Or throw it out the winda

  • If this service was available in North America, it would cost $20,000 and take seven days. And they still would never reach this level of anal-retentive attention to detail. Hell, I even challenge the GERMANS to match this!

Negative.. I own a moving company and we provide comparative services.. The most I have ever charged on a relocation was $15,000.. I have also never had a customer pay for unpacking services.

    • @Tintguy I was actually kidding about the $20,000, but you guys do this?! All the belongings, too? Sheesh. I had no idea.

    • @Lewellan222

We do this I would say on a more reasonable scale. Any video made to sale you on a product is going to show the "extreme" Our extreme looks very similar to this (if we were to make a video..) We do not protect the walls, but we do place door jam protectors made of quilts and stair railing protectors.. we also stretch wrap sofas and pad wrap all furniture... and much more...
