California Senator Yee Takes Aim at "Bullet Button".

Kick em all out!
http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/guns/california-may-ban-bullet-button-guns
The full-time legislature in California is not satisfied with the 10 round mag restriction or the "assault weapons" ban. Clearly, we need more laws. Many, many of them.

  • Criminals dont follow the fucking rules. Disarming the law abiding public is what puts people in harm.

  • I hope the engineer or gunsmith that invented that is getting paid really, really well. He deserves it. Fuck California. You want to reduce crime? Deport all your fucking illegals.

  • Screw California and its obsessive need to make sure only criminals and the state are armed, thereby turning all decent human beings into slaves.

Fuck all you gun grabbing sonzabitches. You either don't know shit about liberty or simply just don't want it for anybody but the criminals and the elites.

    • @TheMule The biggest problem is we have a FULL TIME legislature! Since they are in session every week, they have to do something. That something is, pass more stupid laws. I'd gladly pay them to meet quarterly, like they do in Texas!

  • The only thing it means is that gun laws are a waste of taxpayer money.

  • So much for objective journalism. You can smell the anti-gun bias eminating from the libtards at CBS.

  • The recent Supreme Court affirmation that the Second Amendment is an individual right makes a whole array of California weapons restrictions ILLEGAL under the US Constitution. That decision placed the Second Amendment largely off-limits to State and local interference.

These laws need to be litigated to bring California (and other states) into line. If the laws are not directly challenged they WILL be held in place (and extended!) regardless of their Constitutionality.

The advantage is now O More..

    • @NotJim Can you elaborate some more on how the weapons restrictions are illegal? Do you have a link?

It is, as yet, open to some interpretation; especially by the liberal media. But the effect on local laws is significant -- and is yet to be felt. Google "supreme court 2nd amendment individual right" and you'll find numerous angles on the story.

    • @Eva_Destruction "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

The anti-gun crowd points to the "well regulated" part as being justification for legislated restrictions; however, in the 18th century when this was written, "well regulated" meant "well trained"... It did not mean legislated restrictions.

The anti-gun crowd also points to the word "mil More..

    • @NotJim Yep. Crowded and expensive. Too many people, everything costs too much, the freeways STINK because they are always stopped. Stupid stupid laws. I want out but the job is here, for 7 more years, that's all.

    • @NotJim I have a pension that i can collect in 7 years, when i will be 58 years old. I have deferred comp i put $90 a month into pre-tax, but that will be chump-change. I have to move to another state when i retire because i will be retired but poor, and the money goes a lot further in some other state, that does not have 10% sales tax and all the other ridiculous fees they charge for everything here in the PRK. The latest stupidity is some politician wants to charge 10 cents a bag for plasti More..

Yep. Nanny State Authoritarianism justifies social and economic oppression. Kalifornia in a nutshell.

In WA, things are better -- as yet. But any thinking being would naturally avoid King County.

  • Ironic, the story is about the gun boom in california after they tried banning shit, while the liberal bias in the story only frightens me into buying more guns/part/ammo

Good for you. Thankfully I live in a state, Colorado, where none of this shit matters.

    • @Kmanbay Mee too, Vermont. No restrictions on firearms, no permits and concealed carry is legal.

      Posted May-29-2012 By

    • @11k29

Vermont’s laws are pretty similar to ours here.

The only left winged anti gun place was Denver, but the state legislature determined freedoms/rights enumerated by the state constitution trumps city ordinances and overruled their “assault” weapons ban.

Around the same time we became a “shall issue” state.

It sounds like your state had their stuff together this whole time.

Too bad there are so many bad gun laws on the east coast.

    • @Kmanbay You're alright in VT and NH, but don't get caught carrying in NY, MA, CT or RI. Mass has a 1 year minimum jail term if you have a handgun.

Funny thing is that a lot of the biggest firearm manufacturers(Colt, Smith and Wesson) are in New England, the same places that won't let you own one!

    • @11k29
      Yes, it is ironic.

In New Jersey if you are caught with hollow point ammunition is your pistol outside of your home or place of business it is a felony and carries a $1000 fine for every round in your gun; even if you have just used it to protect yourself.

It seems to me the places where they have the strictest gun controls are places where they understand firearms the least at least in the legislature.

The real criminals, politicians, love gun controls almost much as violent predato More..
