Actually I have to agree with the yanks on the points they're trying to make. I remain impartial in this debate, but ... you obviously don't realise just how EASY it is to acquire a gun (any kind, take your pick) here in the UK.
The point with regards to gun law, is its at a point where criminals can get guns (since to them legislation is null and void), yet the normal citizens can't. Watch the news, we've lost a number of police officers over recent times and its only going to get worse.
I don't think we need guns here yet. But give it 10 years, and even some legitimate citizens will be arming themselves, even if its illegal, because damn ... getting a gun here is 10 a penny.
Same for Europe, many nations already have fully armed officers as standard, the UK is following because its finally waking up.

Nice one J20. America will sadly never realise just how much better a society can be without guns. It works really well in the UK and I'm proud of the fact we have gun control. I'm not proud of the fact that we sell guns to countries that have none though...a bit hypocritical don't ya think. The arguments against gun control all fall flat when you take a look at British society. We prefer to say hello to strangers, rather than treat everyone with deep su****ion.
